Random thoughts, ideas and quotes

Everything that irritates you about others, is your key to understanding yourself. What angers you in another person is an unhealed aspect of yourself. If you had already resolved that particular issue, you would not be irritated by its reflection back to you.

I already have inside myself all the answers I would ever need to all the questions I would ever have. The key to finding them is to go inside and become acquainted with myself.

Like everything else that human kind seeks to define by conventional logic, impossible is simply a concept. Rules can be bent, twisted and even broken. Create your own reality!

Lucky for me, God is not limited by my lack of imagination.

Don't speak unless what you have to say is better than silence.

Neither growth nor change are painful. It is our own resistance against growth and change that make them painful.

Some people grin and bear it; others smile and do it. Big difference!

Excerpt from The Laws of Thinking, Chapter on The Law of Money

Money is God's power of change in the world.

If you want to do something, if you believe it is from God, then do it. The money will come. If you don't do something because the money is not there, then you're listening to the money, not God. When you are working at one with God, you will act and create and spend money you don't have, knowing that God will provide. Remember, God likes it when you are out on the edge, stretching and taking risks. Act and the money follows.

Inspirational Thoughts For Today

He that respects himself is safe from others; he wears a coat of armor that none can pierce. - Henry Longfellow

Be careful then, how you live - not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity. Ephesians 5:15-16

Our days are identical suitcases - all the same size - but some people can pack more into them than others.

We need trials and burdens in life to help us develop passion and a sense of direction so that we may ultimately reach the destination intended for us in life.

We get what we focus on

When we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that's present, we experience heaven on earth.

If I look at others with an eye of "I wish they wouldn't do XYZ" then they seem to do MORE of XYZ, much to my horror. But when the thought of "I wish they wouldn't do XYZ" passes my mind, if I chose to let it go and say to myself, but thank goodness they do all this other great stuff, and I praise them for the good, they do more of the good.

It's all about focus. We get what we focus on, whether good or bad.

True Happiness

No amount of wealth, wisdom, popularity or pleasure can replace an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit within each of us. Nurturing that relationship is the only route to true fulfillment. Hence the realization that there is no happiness apart from God.

Making Wise Decisions

3 questions to filter big life decisions.

Question One: For the sake of what?

Question Two: How much is enough?

Question Three: What matters most here?

Thoughts on Life's Experiences

Time spent waiting doesn't have to be time wasted - even times of stillness have something to teach me.

And challenging times are not times where God has deserted me. We experience challenges because Adam and Eve chose for us to have our own free will. But God is there with us through it all, helping us find the good in the bad if we are willing to look for it.

Gandhi: "An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind." Learning to live and let live is key for me. I need to let go and trust that God will take care of others' wrongdoings...I am not here on Earth to police everyone and ensure fairness! I just need to "keep my side of the fence clean" so to speak.

Thoughts on Marriage

In a spiritual marriage neither husband nor wife has any right to demand anything of the other; they only have the privelege of giving.

If we could all keep the focus on ourselves and on giving to our partner rather than criticizing and tearing down our partners, we would not have a society with a 50% divorce rate. Most people are so focused on telling their spouse how they do not live up to their expectations, that they completely forgot all the great things about their spouse that made them fall in love in the first place!

Christ In My Life

My view of integrating Christianity in my work is simple. I believe that I first need to set a great example. I learned this through my husband. Back when we first met, he used to tell me that he didn’t believe in God. I would beg him to come to church and tell him why a relationship with Christ is necessary. But it was useless. When I stopped trying to convince him, is when the real miracle began. He observed my way of life, including my peace, serenity and rock-solid faith. He saw me go to church, bible study and fellowship meetings with dedication and excitement. And most importantly, he saw that my high ethics and unwavering kindness in all of my business dealings. He really wanted what I had—the inner peace and faith in all aspects of life. He started seeing God in his life too. I heard him using one my favorite phrases, “That was a God thing”, to describe events in his life. I prayed that God would lead him to church and to a relationship with Christ and he did!
Similarly, as a teacher it is important for me to set good Christian examples. Kindness and love must come through in my teaching. And with topics like health, disease and medications, it is necessary to have answers to students’ questions on how this fits in with God’s will for us. I believe that God does not cause us to be ill but he can definitely use these bad situations that arise from independence for good use—whether it is a spiritual awakening or change of destructive habits.
When teaching on disease prevention, I like to stress that God provided us with all that we need to be healthy if we would just live as He has shown us. Eating a diet of God-given fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds and herbs is both healing and preventative. But what most pharmacy students often do not know is the plant origins of many pharmaceutical compounds. I think it is important for them to know that not all drugs are man-made. There are many pharmaceuticals based off of plant compounds.
Most importantly for me is that I involve Christ in all I do. My life is not compartmentalized, with Christ called on only when I need help. I use prayer throughout the day to guide to me to the right words and actions and I see Christ in many little events that create my daily miracles.

Understanding God

God doesn't want to just be 1st in our list of priorities; He wants to be at the center of everything, living in us throughout every moment of every day.

When Adam and Eve chose free will in the Garden of Eden, God allowed us to be independent, just as we have to do as parents to our children. And just like we don't "allow" evil to happen to our kids - it just happens because are independent - similarly, God doesn't "allow" bad things to happen...us humans cause it without any help from Him. But God does often use the evil we create for good.

Just like we cannot possibly as parents judge our kids based on their performance and chose the good ones to be rewarded and the bad ones to die...similarly God doesn't judge us, His children, either. He so wants us to all be rewarded that He let His son die so that we could ALL live. But as independent beings, we have to chose to accept the grace that Christ has provided for us in order to get that reward of eternal life.

God, Christ and the Holy Spirit aren't complicated things that need rules, laws and other man-made religious parameters. They are simple and want us to just love and embrace them, giving them our full faith. That's it...but we try to over-complicate it.

Dreams

I seldom have nightmares. But when I do it is one of a few reoccurring themes:

1) Someone is trying to kill me.
2) I am in an elevator and it is broken, so it is free-falling.
3) Or just the plain falling into black space one that most people have.

Trying to figure out the meaning behind these dreams and how to stop having them altogether if possible.

Ideas?

Attitude is everything today

A shift in attitude with make all the things that bother me this morning, the same things that I am grateful for this afternoon. So I’m working on that. I hurt but other people have their own hurts, so I can’t expect a hurting person to take care of my hurts. I can be positive all day and night today. I just need to write all my grievances down and let them go once they are out. Asking Jesus to be with me today, all day. Every time I feel down or scared or alone or worried, I am saying mentally, “He is with me” or “Jesus please hug me.” It’s working so far. On with my day with a new attitude.

Trying to become a kind of person that is always:

respectful
kind
quiet - speaking only when necessary
thoughtful
trusting

Personality and Boundaries

It is hard to be disappointed in others if I am busy working on the things in myself that disappoint me. And when I am being the kind of person I want others to be, I am sending them the message of what expect by setting an example. Lastly, by setting my own boundaries of what unacceptable behavior I will not tolerate and being consistent with walking away if that behavior occurs, others know what they cannot get away with.

Fears often hold me back, whether I realize it or not. But fear and faith can't exist in the a person at the same time, so the more I practice my faith, the less fear I have. Anger is just my fear coming out explosively. When it seems like a fear is coming true, I get angry, sad or resentful.

But my Higher Power, God, has a plan for me and is several steps ahead of my limited thinking.

The true challenge for my life is to hold on tight to my faith and force fears out with faith whenever I see them creeping in. This is a daily challenge--not something I can do once and conquer it for a lifetime. That's why it is important to keep God first place in my life, because with Him there fears can't take over.

Looking at what is right

I find myself thinking a lot about what is wrong and needs to be fixed in my life, business, home, marriage and other relationships. But if my focus is always on what is wrong, I am not attracting abundance or flow into my life. It is only a lack of self-esteem that makes me look at my flaws rather than my talents and gifts.

Time to look at what is right, cause there is a lot more right than what is wrong. I am alive, healthy, happy, loved, fed, wealthy and taken care of. I have family, friends, a business, a home, cars, food, money, luxuries and many, many more things.

I'm choosing to forgive myself and others cause we are all just humans.

I used to think that I had to work hard to create abundance, but now I know that I don't have to work at it at all. It is my spiritual right to be abundant.

My Myer-Briggs Personality Type (ENFJ)

The Portait of the Teacher (ENFJ)

The Idealists called Teachers are abstract in their thought and speech, cooperative in their style of achieving goals, and directive and extraverted in their interpersonal relations. Learning in the young has to be beckoned forth, teased out from its hiding place, or, as suggested by the word "education," it has to be "educed." by an individual with educative capabilities. Such a one is the eNFj, thus rightly called the educative mentor or Teacher for short. The Teacher is especially capable of educing or calling forth those inner potentials each learner possesses. Even as children the Teachers may attract a gathering of other children ready to follow their lead in play or work. And they lead without seeming to do so.

Teachers expect the very best of those around them, and this expectation, usually expressed as enthusiastic encouragement, motivates action in others and the desire to live up to their expectations. Teachers have the charming characteristic of taking for granted that their expectations will be met, their implicit commands obeyed, never doubting that people will want to do what they suggest. And, more often than not, people do, because this type has extraordinary charisma.

The Teachers are found in no more than 2 or 3 percent of the population. They like to have things settled and arranged. They prefer to plan both work and social engagements ahead of time and tend to be absolutely reliable in honoring these commitments. At the same time, Teachers are very much at home in complex situations which require the juggling of much data with little pre-planning. An experienced Teacher group leader can dream up, effortlessly, and almost endlessly, activities for groups to engage in, and stimulating roles for members of the group to play. In some Teachers, inspired by the responsiveness of their students or followers, this can amount to genius which other types find hard to emulate. Such ability to preside without planning reminds us somewhat of an Provider, but the latter acts more as a master of ceremonies than as a leader of groups. Providers are natural hosts and hostesses, making sure that each guest is well looked after at social gatherings, or that the right things are expressed on traditional occasions, such as weddings, funerals, graduations, and the like. In much the same way, Teachers value harmonious human relations about all else, can handle people with charm and concern, and are usually popular wherever they are. But Teachers are not so much social as educational leaders, interested primarily in the personal growth and development of others, and less in attending to their social needs.

Mikhail Gorbachev, Oprah Winfrey, Pope John Paul II, Ralph Nader, John Wooden, and Margaret Mead are examples of Teacher Idealists.

My God Given Talents

Today I have a real epiphany. I was on a mastermind call and someone brought up the topic of Toastmasters and public speaking. I mentioned that I am a good public speaker and have no fear, unlike most people. That made me realize that this is one of my unused talents right now. In the Myers-Briggs personality test I am ENFJ (Extroversion, Intuition, Feeling, Judgement) called the Idealist or the Teacher. I am in the category with Oprah, Ralph Nader and Gorbachev. It is limited to about 2 - 3 % of the population.

That turned the conversation to using my talent of public speaking and my credentials and health knowledge for teaching others about health through videos, tele-seminars and live talks. Wow! Chris and I talked before about doing some YouTube videos where I talk of the top of my head about what I know on healing a condition naturally and link to reports I sell plus my writing business. Hmmm....

And talking to my mum about it, she thinks I will one day end up in the ministry since I am such a good speaker and very passionate about God and my spirituality. Food for thought!

Money Machine

I realize that I get what I think about and dwell on, except with money if I think about it and dwell on it is usually in a negative lacking way, hence I'm working on not thinking about money at all. Instead I am focusing on my time, because once my time is well-spent I will become a money machine. Rich people aren't focusing on making money all the time; they focus on making the most of their time and I'm doing that too. Time is more important than money, because money if gone can be gotten back but once time is gone it is gone forever. So I am making the most of every moment.

Choosing to have a good day

Changing how my day is going can be as simple as stopping and noticing how I feel and what I am thinking about. If I am thinking negative thoughts or filled with worry, or if I am all tensed up with a bent posture of course I will be having a terrible day! Time to let go of those thoughts, put my worries in my God Box and relax those tense muscles. If I sit or stand up straight, put a smile on my face and think positive thoughts I have no choice but to have a good day or a good life. So today I choose to have a good day just by changing my physical and mental posture.

My Mission Statement

I serve God, tell others about Him, love unconditionally, help others, give generously, learn, study, inspire and motivate.

I am knowledgeable, wise, wealthy, healthy, positive, cheerful and open-minded.

I am committed to changing for the better daily, experimenting, healing myself and others naturally, teaching, owning businesses, traveling and following through on projects.

Perseverance and self-control are key.

Paradigm Shifts

I am so blessed that sometimes it is unreal! I am wealthy - this is an aha moment of realizing that wealth is the culmination of finances, health, freedom and time coming together to make happiness.... and I have that!!!!! I have finally realized that we are all Gods in our own little way because we manifest things into our own lives and create our own destiny through our thoughts and actions. I have developed a heightened awareness of how what I think or do influences what I get or how I feel... so I am constantly tweaking my thoughts and actions to get back into my sweet spot. Kind of like golfers trying to improve their golf game :)

Perfectionism is total crap because it leads to me constantly feel like a failure, when in reality I am so successful that it is ridiculous. So that's another one that's out the window.

Lots of paradigm shifts... that's the order of my day.
